Scouts

A youth organization called scouts and Guides uses a variety of challenges, actiivities, and adventures to teach youngsters valuable life lessons. A Boy Scout or Girl Scout. A person employed to keep watch for some anticipated event

Karate

"Meeting of hands." Kumite is practiced both as a sport and as self-defense training. A style of fighting originally from Japan in which the hands and feet are used as weapons. The level of skill a person has is shown by what colour belt they wear.

Chess

A game for two people that is played on a board with 64 black and white squares (a chessboard). Each player has 16 pieces which can be moved according to fixed rules. Chess is Chariot(rook), Horse( knight), Elephant(bishop) and Soldiers(pawns).

Music

Music is generally defined as the art of arranging sound to create some combination of form, harmony, melody, rhythm, or otherwise expressive content. Definitions of music vary depending on culture.

Dance

Dance is an art form consisting of sequences of body movements with aesthetic and often symbolic value, either improvised or purposefully selected. A series of steps and movements which you do to music.

Yoga

Yoga is an ancient system of physical, mental and spiritual practices that have been passed down through the generations from teacher to student. Yogic practices include breathing techniques, postures, relaxation, chanting.

Silambam

The name Silambam is "staff from the hills," with "Silam" meaning "hills" and "Kambu" meaning "staff or sticks." The game is often played on a level, hard surface with bamboo sticks that are the same length as the participants' heights.

Archery

Archery is the sport, practice, or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus, meaning bow.Archery has been used for hunting and combat. A person who practices archery is called an archer, bowman.

Art & Craft

Art and craft, or the plural “arts and crafts” is a catchall phrase for creative practices that fall into the category of either art or craft. The skills of making objects, such as decorations, furniture, and pottery by hand. Arts and crafts is usually a hobby.

Skating

The activity or sport of moving on ice wearing special boots. Skateboarding, form of recreation and sport, popular among youths, in which a person rides standing balanced on a small board mounted on wheels.
